Shannon May is an illustrator living in San Francisco, CA. She spent her childhood on the coast of southern Connecticut amongst ruins of the Revolutionary War and monk parakeets. She is fascinated by the promise and aesthetics of science and loves exploring, being uncomfortable, books, clouds, and geometry. Currently she spends her free time making jewelry (lintu), objects (themooncraft), playing ukulele, listening to records, and entertaining her kitten, Momo.

Clients include the New York Times, ReadyMade Magazine, Harvard Business Review, Stanford Social Innovation Review, Smith College Alumnae Magazine, Gizmodo, Annalemma Magazine, Hello!Lucky, and McSweeney's. Her work has been featured in American Illustration 29, Communication Arts, and Design*Sponge.
